He teaches courses on tax policy design, taxation of wealth, and tax avoidance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Before joining LSE in 2014, he studied Law at the University of Cambridge (2005–2008) and the University of Oxford (2009–2010), where he later completed his PhD in private law (2011–2014) and taught as a College Lecturer. His research interests include domicile/residence tax rules, wealth taxation reforms, and interdisciplinary approaches to tax system design. He leads CenTax to enhance public and policymaker understanding of taxation through rigorous, accessible research.
