Dr Andy Atkins is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, Language and Psychology, York St John University, specializing in science and mathematics education. With over 20 years of experience, he has worked in schools, local government (Essex Local Authority, 2008–2012), and universities including the University of Northampton and Leicester. He focuses on teacher training, pedagogical strategies in STEM, and improving trainee confidence. His research explores practical science work, student/teacher perceptions of science, and international education.
