Professor André W. Heinemann holds the Chair in Federal and Regional Financial Relations at the University of Bremen's Faculty of Business Studies and Economics. He leads the Department III: Regional Development and Fiscal Policy at the Institute Labour and Economy (iaw) in collaboration with the Bremen Chamber of Labor. Previously, he served as a Junior Professor (2013–2017) and has held a Visiting Professorship at Kyiv National Economic University since 2018. His research focuses on fiscal federalism, intergovernmental financial relations, and regional development policy.

Projects: Leads initiatives on platform economies in Bremen, evaluation of environmental research programs, and municipal finance strategies.
