André Tremblay

André Tremblay is a Full Professor at the University of Montreal, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and dual departments of Obstetrics-Gynecology and Biochemistry & Molecular Medicine. His research focuses on nuclear receptors, particularly estrogen receptors (ERα/β) and PPARs, exploring their roles in hormone signaling, lipid metabolism, and cellular kinase pathways. He leads projects on SUMOylation, mitochondrial biogenesis, and metabolic regulation, supported by grants from IRSC and CRSNG. Tremblay is a member of strategic networks like the Réseau Québécois en Reproduction (RQR) and directs research at CHU Sainte-Justine. His awards include the IRSC's Early Investigator Fellowship (2000-2005) and project grants (2017-2020). He has supervised over 20 graduate students, contributing to 30+ peer-reviewed publications. His labs investigate transcriptional regulation mechanisms in reproductive and metabolic systems.
