André-Gilles Dumont is an Honorary Professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC). He holds a civil engineering degree from EPFL (1976) and has dedicated his career to advancing road infrastructure and materials science. His research focuses on granular materials, polymer-modified bituminous materials, pavement modeling, and environmental considerations in construction. As former director of the Traffic Laboratory (LAVOC), he developed methodologies for full-scale testing of road superstructures and contributed internationally through OECD expert groups. He chaired Swiss road-related commissions and taught civil and agricultural engineering students on traffic route design, road construction, and CAD applications.
