Prof. Andrzej Szyjewski is a prominent scholar of Religious Studies and Anthropology of Religion at Jagiellonian University since 1987, currently heading the Department of Phenomenology and Anthropology of Religion. Born in 1963, he earned his doctorate in 1994 ("Symbolism of the Raven") and habilitation in 2000 ("Religions of Australia").
