Dr. Andrzej Dumała is a Lecturer in the Department of International Political Relations at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (UMCS). He maintains regular office hours during the academic year and is actively engaged in teaching and research related to European Union affairs and international relations.
Dr. Dumała earned his Doctor of Humanities degree in 1994 with a dissertation titled 'Transnational Political Processes in the European Parliament,' supervised by Professor Ziemowit J. Pietraś. His academic journey has been marked by numerous international research opportunities including Fulbright scholarships, research internships at prestigious institutions like the University of London, Wilhelms University of Münster, and Université Libre de Bruxelles, and participation in the European Parliament Secretariat internship program.
His research interests focus on European integration processes, particularly EU decision-making mechanisms, the functioning of the EU political system, the theory and operation of Community agencies, and political decision-making theory. Since 2015, he has been an expert member of the Team Europe Direct network of the European Commission in Poland, contributing to EU information and education efforts.
