Andrey Nikolaev

Andrey Nikolaev is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Technological Management and Innovations at ITMO University. He holds a PhD in economics and management (2019) and a Specialist’s degree in custom affairs (2017) from ITMO University. His responsibilities include managing the Master’s program in IP Management Strategy, teaching, supervising graduation papers, and guiding research in IP management strategy, innovation, and custom affairs.

His professional interests include IP and innovation management, patent analytics, risk management, world economy, and external economic activities. Nikolaev has received multiple awards, including the Government of St. Petersburg Prize (2018) and a certificate of honor from the Russian Ministry of Defense (2017). He is actively involved in editorial activities as a correspondent for journals Megabyte and NewTone, and as a member of the editorial boards of i-Customs and Economics, Law, and Innovation. Additionally, he serves as a principal investigator for research projects at ITMO University.
