Andrey Borissov

Andrey Borissov is a Long-stay Visiting Researcher at the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) from the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d'Orsay at the University of Paris-Saclay, France. His current visit is scheduled from October 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025, marking his 34th engagement with DIPC since 2002 after 33 previous visits.

His research specializes in strong field photoemission phenomena in two-dimensional materials, operating at the intersection of condensed matter physics and materials science. This work investigates ultrafast electron dynamics under intense laser fields, with particular emphasis on quantum effects in low-dimensional systems and the electronic properties of novel 2D materials under extreme electromagnetic conditions.
