Andrew Staniland is a Professor of Composition and Electronic Music at Memorial University’s School of Music in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He holds a B.Mus. from the University of Lethbridge, an M.Mus. and a Doctor of Music (Mus.Doc) from the University of Toronto. A leading composer of his generation, he is a Member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars and has received prestigious awards including the Terra Nova Young Innovators Award and Juno nominations.
