Andrew Sobol

Andrew Sobol is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Art at Elmhurst University, where he leads the Graphic Design program. He holds an MFA in Design, Interactive Media, Video & Audio Art from Northern Illinois University. With 18+ years of professional experience, Sobol specializes in creative leadership, branding, packaging, and both print/digital design, collaborating with major studios, governments, and nonprofits.

His research focuses on modern design pedagogy, integrating traditional and digital practices. He emphasizes interactive design in curricula to align with industry demands, teaching courses like UX/UI, typography, and portfolio development. Sobol co-designed the 'Be Bold Be Elmhurst' mural (with Rafael Blanco), a 200×30-foot artwork on the UP-W Metra line.
