Andrew P. Dean

Dr. Andrew P. Dean is currently the Vice President of Research and Innovation and a Professor in Bioinformatics and Mathematical Sciences at Lakehead University. As Faculty Advisor for Enhancing the Prevention of Injury & Disability at Work, he combines leadership with academic expertise.

• Education: BA from McGill University (1979), MM from University of Waterloo (1980), PhD from Queen's University (1986)

His research spans:

• Representation Theory of Finite Dimensional Algebras
• Integral Quadratic Forms

Prior to his current role, Dean held academic and administrative positions at Nipissing University (Chair, Dean of Arts and Science), Bishop's University (Dean of Science, Chair), and institutions like Oxford University and the University of Western Ontario.
