Andrew Nedd is a Professor in the Department of Art History at Savannah College of Art and Design, specializing in Russian art history, 19th-century narratives, and avant-garde movements. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California with research on Russian visual culture and national identity formation.
Nedd's international experience includes summer professorships in China at Sinoway International Education Group (Beijing), Shanghai programs, and research at Moscow institutions. His publications analyze Russian artistic responses to historical conflicts from the Napoleonic Wars to World War I.
Honors include a Hillwood Estate Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship (2016) and Kennan Institute fellowship. Nedd brings museum expertise from positions at San Diego Museum of Art and Crocker Art Museum to his academic work.
