Andrew Neal is a Professor of International Security and Director of Postgraduate Research Programmes at the University of Edinburgh’s School of Social and Political Science. His research focuses on critical security studies, parliamentary security politics, and the evolution of security discourse. He leads the National Security and Defence Documents Dataset (1987–2024), analyzing global security priorities across 119 countries.
