Andrew Mackenzie

Andrew Mackenzie is a Professor at the University of St Andrews' School of Physics and Astronomy, specializing in condensed matter physics, quantum materials, and superconductivity. His research investigates strongly correlated electron systems, unconventional superconductors (notably Sr2RuO4), and quantum transport phenomena. Mackenzie directs PhD students on projects involving electron irradiation effects, elastocaloric measurements, and quantum material synthesis. He holds dual affiliations with the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden.
