About
Andrew Janusz is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Florida. His research examines racial identity, political behavior, and political representation in Latin America's emerging democracies, with a geographical focus on Brazil.
He is currently developing a book project that investigates the underrepresentation of Afro-Brazilians in Brazil's Congress relative to their population size, and analyzes how this exclusion impacts the representation of Afro-Brazilians' policy interests. This work extends findings from his peer-reviewed publication in Politics, Groups, and Identities.
