Andrew Heyn CMG OBE is an Honorary Professor of Practice at The Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice at Queen’s University Belfast. He is also an Honorary Fellow at St Hugh’s College, University of Oxford. A former British Consul-General in Hong Kong (2016–2020) and Ambassador to Myanmar (2009–2013), he brings extensive diplomatic expertise to his academic roles.

Andrew Heyn has received significant honors, including an OBE in 2013 and a CMG in 2020. He contributes to university governance as a member of Queen’s University Belfast Board of Governors and sits on the People, Finance and Resources Committee and Remuneration Committee since 2021.
