Andrew Hartman (they/them) is a queer Métis evaluator and applied social psychology doctoral student at the University of Saskatchewan. They currently serve as a sessional instructor in Women’s & Gender Studies and Psychology & Health Studies, while project managing the Grad HUB platform. Hartman holds a Teacher-Scholar Doctoral Fellowship (2023/24) and participates in the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning fellowship, promoting teaching excellence.
Educational background: Master’s thesis awarded the Outstanding Master’s Thesis by the Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education. Over 7 years of student affairs experience with expertise in program evaluation, mixed-methods research, and community grant-writing. Specializes in 2SLGBTQ+ health, homelessness prevention, and equity-centered evaluation practices.
Research focuses on marginalized community empowerment, queer joy studies, and institutional equity. Key areas include: (1) developing culturally responsive evaluation frameworks; (2) addressing systemic barriers for 2SLGBTQ+ populations; (3) analyzing university policies through critical feminist lenses.
