About
Dr Andrew Graham is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sustainable Environment Research Centre within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science. His research focuses on designing novel catalytic materials for sustainable chemical technologies, particularly hierarchical nanocomposites and functionalized nanotubular structures. Current work includes Leverhulme Trust-funded projects exploring surface-functionalized nanotubular materials.
- Research Interests: Silicate-based catalysts, biomass valorization, hierarchical nanocomposites
- Key Projects: Ge-Imogolite nanotube catalysis, levulinate ester biofuels synthesis
Recent publications (2021–2025) emphasize biomass-derived chemicals, nanoporous aluminosilicate catalysis, and organic synthesis methodologies. Active in peer-review roles for grants including RSC Sustainable Laboratories and Researcher Collaborations programs.
