Andrew Doig is a Professor of Biochemistry at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the Division of Molecular & Cellular Function. His research focuses on Alzheimer’s Disease, proteomics, and drug discovery, particularly targeting amyloid-beta aggregation and toxicity. He also explores protein vibrational spectroscopy for structural analysis, and engineering GFP to reduce immunogenicity.
Doig holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (1991). His teaching includes courses on protein processing, Alzheimer’s, and prion diseases. He collaborates with Senexis, a spin-out company, to develop Alzheimer’s treatments.
