Andrew Cookson

Andrew Cookson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath. He is affiliated with the Centre for Therapeutic Innovation and the Centre for Bioengineering & Biomedical Technologies (CBio), applying computational modeling to biomedical and industrial challenges.

Research Focus:

• In silico pipeline development for cardiovascular MRI simulation
• Computational modeling of cardiovascular diseases
• Artificial heart fluid dynamics
• Medical imaging optimization
• Finite element method software development

Recent Publications demonstrate expertise in haemolysis modeling, fluid-structure interaction, and machine learning integration with cardiac imaging. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals in health and education.
