Andrew Carr is a Lecturer and SCITT PGCE Programme Leader at Bath Spa University's School of Education, Department of Initial Teacher Education. With over 25 years of experience in education, including roles as a secondary school teacher and senior leader, he transitioned to higher education in 2015. His work focuses on enhancing teacher training through collaborative partnerships and educational networks across school-centres in England.

Research interests include the secondary school curriculum, its impact on English teacher pedagogy and agency, and the professional learning of educators. His PhD thesis explores these themes in depth.
