Andrew Bryenton is an Adjunct Professor of Cello at Carson-Newman University and has served as Principal Cellist of the Knoxville Symphony since 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Hartt School of Music and completed graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His career includes roles with the Opera Saratoga and Des Moines Metro Opera orchestras, as well as summer engagements at festivals like Yellow Barn and Spoleto. In addition to classical performance, he is a founding member of Kukuly and the Gypsy Fuego, a unique gypsy jazz ensemble based in Knoxville. He maintains a private teaching studio and also serves on the faculty of the Music Arts School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
