Andrew Black

Andrew Black is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, where he has taught since 1999. Previously, he taught at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (8 years) and Dartmouth College (1 year). His educational background includes a B.A. from the University of London and a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts.

His research focuses on the history of philosophy, philosophy of science, and logic, with publications spanning seventeenth-century philosophy, epistemology, and educational television content. Current projects include a book on philosophy of science for educators and research on Leibniz's philosophy.
