Andrew Bernheimer

Andrew Bernheimer is Associate Professor of Architecture at Parsons School of Design, The New School. As principal of Bernheimer Architecture, he leads projects spanning residential, civic, and cultural domains, including affordable housing developments across New York City. His practice is noted as the only unionized architectural firm in the United States.

Research and creative work explore intersections of architecture and narrative, evidenced by edited volumes 'Timber in the City' and 'Fairy Tale Architecture'. Bernheimer was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2018 and received the AIA New York Medal of Honor in 2023.
