Andreu Mas-Colell is a Professor of Economics (Catedrático) at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, Spain, currently on leave. He has held faculty positions at Harvard University (1981–1996), University of California, Berkeley (1972–1980), and served as Chairman of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (2006–2010). He has also held significant government roles, including Minister of Economy and Knowledge of the Government of Catalonia since December 2010.
