Andrés Rodríguez-Pose is the Princesa de Asturias Chair and a Professor of Economic Geography at the London School of Economics (LSE). He directs the Cañada Blanch Centre and previously led the Department of Geography and Environment. He chairs the EU’s High-Level Group on Cohesion Policy, shaping post-2027 EU policies. His research focuses on regional inequality, institutions, populism, and development strategies. He advises international organizations and governments, with over 200 cited works, including the Stanford ranking’s top urban/regional scientist (2021). Awards include the ERSA Prize (2018) and honorary doctorates from Utrecht and Jönköping universities.
