Andres Aland

Andres Aland is a Senior Lecturer at the Chair of Veterinary Biomedicine and Food Hygiene, Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences, Estonian University of Life Sciences. He has held various academic and administrative roles since joining the institution in 1994.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (2003) and Research Master's Degree (1996) from Estonian Agricultural University
• Specializes in animal and herd health, health monitoring, environmental hygiene, and animal welfare

His research focuses on multifactorial diseases, environmental risk factors, dairy cattle keeping, and preventive health programs. He has contributed to international handbooks on livestock housing and air quality management.

Scientific awards include the DeLaval Scientific Research Grant (2004), Raefond Prize (2007), and Ministry of Education and Science recognition (2008). He has supervised over 10 graduate theses in veterinary medicine and animal science.
