Andrei Soldatov

Andrei Soldatov serves as a Visiting Fellow at the Department of War Studies, School of Security Studies, Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy, King's College London. An investigative journalist in exile, he co-founded Agentura.ru—an online watchdog monitoring Russia's security and intelligence services—with extensive coverage of terrorist attacks in Russia, Middle Eastern conflicts, and Putin's security apparatus.

His research centers on intelligence studies, cyber security, and Russian geopolitics, examining the evolution of Russia's security state, internet censorship mechanisms, and intelligence operations in the Ukraine war. Key themes include digital dictatorship dynamics, KGB legacy impacts, and exilic resistance movements against the Kremlin.
