Prof. Dr. Dr. hc Andreas Pfingsten is a Professor of Banking at the University of Münster’s Department of Banking, School of Business and Economics. He holds leadership roles, including former Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics. His research focuses on banking regulation, risk management, and financial stability, with significant contributions to liquidity risk, credit risk, and Basel III compliance. He has authored over 20 books and numerous journal articles.
Education: Habilitation (Dr. rer. pol. habil.) in Economics (1988), PhD in Economics (1985) from the University of Karlsruhe, and studies in Industrial Engineering and Economics at the University of Karlsruhe and University of British Columbia.
