Andreas Günthert

Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Günthert serves as an Adjunct Professor for Clinical Medical Sciences at the University of Lucerne's Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, appointed effective March 18, 2024. With a medical specialty in gynecology, he brings extensive clinical expertise to his academic role.

Dr. Günthert completed his medical education at the Universities of Heidelberg in Germany and Yogyakarta in Indonesia. His academic credentials include venia legendi obtained in 2006 from the University Hospitals of Marburg and Göttingen. Prior to his current appointment, he held an Adjunct Professorship at the University of Bern.

At St. Anna Hospital in Lucerne, Dr. Günthert heads the Gynecological Tumor Center and has established the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics as a recognized continuing education center.
