Andreas Ek is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Lund University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics. His research focuses on macroeconomics, labour economics, and the economics of culture, particularly exploring how cultural values influence productivity and economic outcomes. His recent work includes studies on cross-country differences in leisure preferences and the impact of cultural values on productivity.
Key research interests include cultural determinants of economic behavior, labor market dynamics, and the intersection of sociology with economic theory.
