Andreas E. Feldmann is Associate Professor in Latin American and Latino Studies and Political Science at UIC. His research intersects comparative politics and international relations, focusing on Latin American forced migration, terrorism, criminal governance, human rights, and foreign policy.
He co-authored New Migration Patterns in the Americas and is preparing a book on criminal governance in Latin America. His work has received support from Ford Foundation and IDRC, and he has consulted for UNHCR and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
Current research examines criminal governance interfaces and state crisis in contemporary Latin America.
