Dr. Andrea Wagner is an Associate Professor at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta, specializing in European Union politics, anti-corruption mechanisms, and populism. She holds a PhD from Carleton University. Her research examines anti-corruption agencies in Central and Eastern Europe, the interplay between populism and Euroscepticism, and EU integration challenges. She serves as a consultant for the Bertelsmann Foundation, analyzing Romania’s anti-corruption efforts. Currently on sabbatical leave, she teaches courses such as POLS 101, POLS 200, ECON 212, and POLS 490.
