Andrea Sator is an Adjunct Professor and Interim Academic Advisor in the Master of Educational Technology (MET) program at the University of British Columbia. Her work focuses on bridging the epistemic gap between students and teachers through purposeful technological environments and maker pedagogy.
Research Interests
- Investigating teacher candidates' theories of knowledge in technological environments
- Designing inclusive makerspaces centered on justice, equity, diversity, and decolonization
- Advancing pedagogical frameworks for technology teacher education
- Addressing equity and sustainability in educational technology
As an instructor in MET courses (ETEC 510, ETEC 511) and the MET Summer Institutes, she explores learning design and production pedagogies alongside collaborative colleagues and emerging scholars.
