Andrea Pritoni

Andrea Pritoni is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the Department of the Arts, University of Bologna, since October 2024. Previously, he held roles at the University of Turin (2018–2024) and the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (2015–2018). His research focuses on interest representation, Italian political systems, and policy analysis. Pritoni leads the PRIN 2022 project on Italy's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and serves as an associate editor of the Rivista Italiana di Scienza Politica. He has authored/co-authored numerous books and peer-reviewed articles on topics like lobbying, governance, and institutional dynamics.

Research Interests: His work examines interest groups' influence, comparative policy-making, and the interplay between political institutions and societal actors. Key areas include the evolution of Italian political systems, policy instruments in higher education, and the role of bureaucratic analysis in governance.

Grants & Projects: Principal Investigator for PRIN 2022 (DRIVE project), and contributor to initiatives like the Comparative Interest Group Survey. His work bridges academic research with policy-making, emphasizing empirical analysis of political processes.

Labs/Teams: Coordinates research teams on projects involving policy advice, governance capacity, and interest group dynamics across Europe.
