Research Focus: Dr. Davis investigates how individuals negotiate subjectivity under repressive regimes through critical archival analysis and digital storytelling. Her work examines evolving social narratives of 20th-century Spain, particularly the intersection of personal memory with collective trauma during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and Francoist Dictatorship (1939-1975), employing digital humanities frameworks to democratize historical access.
Grant Support: Her research has secured funding from major institutions including the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History, and Fulbright Program.
