Andrea Courtemanche, Ph.D., BCBA-D is a Professor in the Department of Applied Behavioral Studies at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), where she has been a faculty member since 2014. Prior to USJ, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Her research focuses on understanding how environmental and biological factors like stress and pain contribute to problematic behaviors such as self-injurious behavior, impulsive decision-making, and poor job performance in individuals with and without disabilities. She teaches graduate courses in behavior analysis, including Foundations of Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Assessment, Interventions, Ethics, and Research Methods.
