Andrea Ballabio is a Professor of Medical Genetics at the University of Naples 'Federico II' and a Visiting Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. He serves as a Principal Investigator and former Scientific Director at the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM) in Italy. His career includes roles as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Baylor, Co-director of the Human Genome Center, and President of the European Society of Human Genetics (1998).
