Andrea Baker

Andrea Baker is the Assistant Director of Nursing Research for the Clinical Trials Unit at West Moreton Hospital and Health Service, The Park Centre for Mental Health. She is affiliated with The University of Queensland (PAH-Southside Clinical Unit) and QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute as a Visiting Scientist. With 32 years in healthcare and 20 in mental health, she transitioned to research in 2009, earning a Master of Mental Health in 2011.

Her research focuses on mental health clinical trials, genetic studies in schizophrenia, and promoting research sustainability in healthcare systems. She has coordinated national and regional clinical trials, emphasizing collaboration across clinical and community sectors.
