Andre Liebenberg

Andre Liebenberg holds the Robertson Chair of Insurance at the University of Mississippi, where he is also a Professor of Finance and Director of the Center for Insurance Transformation. He joined Ole Miss in 2006 and has led the Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program since 2011.

  • B.Sc. in Economics, University of the Witwatersrand (1995)

His research focuses on Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, and Actuarial Science, with publications in leading scholarly journals. He has secured grants from the U.S. Department of Labor and other organizations. Liebenberg teaches undergraduate and doctoral RMI courses, including Insurance Company Operations and Dissertation, and oversees the RMI internship program. He has received multiple teaching and research awards, including the 2015 ARIA Excellence in Teaching Award.
