Dr. Andisheh Ghaderi is a Lecturer in French at Washington University in St. Louis, holding a PhD from the University of British Columbia. She specializes in Francophone literature and cinema with extensive research in Caribbean and Haitian literature, Francophone Africa and Canada, Trauma Studies, Biopolitics, and Gender Studies. Her current book project explores Francophone perspectives on the American Dream.
Research interests span:
- Digital Humanities projects like 'Mapping African Migration Literature Across the Atlantic'
- Multilingual translation work including Haitian Creole to English
- Intersections of race, gender, and class in Black cinema
