Anders Nygren is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary and currently serves as the Interim Dean of the Schulich School of Engineering. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in 1998, following dual MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston (1994) and the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm (1994).
Research Interests: Dr. Nygren specializes in computational modeling of cardiac electrophysiology, focusing on understanding the electrical behavior of heart cells through quantitative simulation approaches. His work bridges biomedical engineering and systems biology to study cardiovascular dynamics.
