Anastasios (Tassos) Malliaris is the Walter F. Mullady, Sr., Professor of Economics at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago. His research focuses on asset price bubbles, financial instability, and monetary policy. He holds honorary professorships from the University of Piraeus and an honorary doctorate from the University of Macedonia. Malliaris has taught courses in managerial economics, futures markets, and international business economics.
Education includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Oklahoma and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
