Ana Rosa Viguera

Ana Rosa Viguera is a CSIC Staff Scientist at the Biofisika Institute, a joint research center of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She has been actively conducting research at this institute since 2000, focusing on the biophysical aspects of membrane proteins and their interactions within lipid environments.

Research Interests: Her scientific work centers on understanding the mechanisms of membrane protein folding and the molecular dynamics of lipid-protein systems. This research lies at the intersection of biochemistry, biophysics, and structural biology, contributing to fundamental knowledge in cellular membrane organization and function. Her studies employ biophysical techniques to analyze how proteins integrate into and interact with lipid bilayers.
