Ana Rita Adão Roussado is a Researcher and doctoral student at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), affiliated with the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS) and the KLIREC doctoral program focused on Climate, Resources, and Circular Economy. Her work bridges sociotechnical modeling, technology assessment, and sustainability analysis.

Her research explores the interplay between land use, sustainable food systems, energy production, and resilience strategies through real-world laboratories and participatory methods. Current projects include GrassToGurt (meadow yogurt innovation) and sociotechnical modeling for Germany’s energy and food system transitions.
Scientific engagement includes analyzing stakeholder participation in technology assessment frameworks and contributing to interdisciplinary sustainability research at KIT’s Sustainable Bioeconomy research group. She has been active in Erasmus internships and KIT’s sociotechnical energy futures initiatives.
