Dr. Ana Pozzi Harris is a Senior Lecturer in Visual Arts at the University of North Georgia, specializing in Latin American and Latinx art history. She joined UNG in 2006 and created innovative courses including ART 3570 (Mexican and U.S. Latino Art). Pozzi serves as Master Faculty Advisor and coordinates the annual Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibition.
Her research examines modern/contemporary Latin American art, with focus on Mexican, Chicano, and transnational visual culture. She investigates intersections between artistic practice, cultural identity, and social movements through curatorial projects and publications.
Publications demonstrate sustained focus on Latin American modernism, with recent work on Chicano art-media relationships. Research bridges historical analysis with contemporary cultural studies methodologies.
