Ana Moura

Ana Moura is a PhD candidate in Education Sciences at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Porto (FPCEUP), currently awaiting her thesis defense. She is also affiliated with EPIUnit (Institute of Public Health, University of Porto), the Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR), and the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE). Her academic background includes a Master’s in Health Education (2018) from the Faculty of Medicine and FPCEUP, and a BSc in Education Sciences (2016) from FPCEUP.

Her research focuses on mixed methodologies, health education, and the psychosocial health of informal caregivers of stroke survivors. She has explored themes such as adaptation processes in chronic diseases, citizenship, and health equity. Collaborations include a research mobility period at the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre, Brazil, where she developed workshops on citizen science and qualitative research ethics.

Publications emphasize caregiver quality of life, stroke survivor rehabilitation, and the ethical challenges in qualitative health research. Her work contributes to co-producing health knowledge with vulnerable populations, aiming to improve healthcare systems and social policies.
