Ana Maria Porto Castro

Ana Maria Porto Castro is a Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics within the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She is affiliated with the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE) and contributes to the research group IDEA (Research, Educational Diagnosis and Evaluation) and TeXe Third Generation group.

Her academic work focuses on Research and Diagnostic Methods in Education, with a broader interest in educational assessment and didactic strategies. She earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1991, completing a thesis titled Effects of a Program in the Area of Mathematics with Highly Qualified Students, supervised by Dr. Xosé Cajide Val.
