Ana Mª Pinto Llorente

Ana Mª Pinto Llorente is a Professor in the Department of Didactics and School Organization at the Faculty of Education, University of Salamanca, where she has been recognized with one six-year research period and three five-year teaching periods. She is a member of the GRIAL Research Group since 2010 and the Educational Research Institute (IUCE, USAL) since 2021.

Her research interests include:

• Educational Technology
• ICT and Educational Innovation
• E-Learning and Learning Technologies
• Digital Competence
• Gerontological Innovation
• Dementia Care Education

In the last decade, her work has focused on technology integration in education, opinion mining, and AI applications in educational design, as reflected in her participation in major national and European research initiatives. She has published over 22 articles in SCOPUS and JCR-indexed journals such as Computers & Education, International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education, and Computers in Human Behavior, along with more than 40 book chapters in Q1/Q2 SPI-indexed publishers.

Her scientific awards include:

• Best Paper Award at EABR/ETLC 2010 for her work on blended learning and digital competence.

She has actively contributed to 40 national and international conferences with over 60 presentations. Her research is supported by participation in three national R&D projects—EFI-6, SENIORLAB-LBD, and MINERVA—and four European projects: GAMIGRATION, PREVIEW, SIDECAR, and EUREGENAS—demonstrating a strong record of funded research and international collaboration.
